CLASS
DESCRIPTIONS
YOGA THERAPY
DEFINED…classes or varying topics to address certain
illnesses and dysfunctions of the body.
RESTORATIVE YOGA…for stress relief and restoration of the injured and
fatigued mind and/or body. For all levels and ages
to gently and passively guide the body
into yoga postures. It
strengthens and frees stiff joints, improves respiratory function (great
for allergies or asthma!), lowers blood pressure and increases energy
levels.
PRANAYAMA &
MEDITATION... yogic
breathing techniques that increase lung
capacity, decrease pain, increase energy levels, and cleans
bronchial airways.
Meditation creates
a focused, calm mind that is alert yet relaxed.
Increases energy levels, removes fatigue, muscle toxins, and
“brain fog”.
HEALTHY BACK... created by Ginger Garner, Physical Therapist, to strengthen
your spine and decrease your low back and spine pain with yoga
therapy & Pilates.
BEGINNERS YOGA…for the absolute beginning student of yoga or those wanting to
refine their skills.
YOGA I…Yoga foundational postures and breath awareness in the
vinyasa style with emphasis on Iyengar yoga for mechanical alignment.
YOGA II…Yoga foundations and expanded concepts for those with
at least 6 months experience. Instructors
approval required. Must be
familiar with basic postures, including sun salute series and
vinyasa.
YOGA III…Intermediate and advanced Hatha yoga practice for those
with a minimum of 1 year personal practice. Must be independent and
safe with headstands. Instructor
approval required.
PILATES...a therapeutically based routine for low back
strengthening and postural realignment.
MOMMY & ME YOGA…for
toddlers and their moms or dads who just want to
have fun together.
